Ashley kircher, CEO

Ashley has headed initiatives to encourage understanding of and empathy for users at rapidly-growing B2B startups. She has a diverse background in data-driven product design, web development, illustration and women’s studies.

Naftali is an indie game designer and developer with 10 years experience and multiple successful apps and games released. He’s also an award-winning illustrator and alumnus of the MIT Game Lab research program.

 

 

Advisors

Craig Williams, phd

Craig Williams is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto working with Wil Cunningham and Jim Coan (University of Virginia). In 2017, he completed his PhD in psychology at Stanford University with Jamil Zaki. His research examines interpersonal emotion regulation –– how we manage our own and other individuals' emotions through social interaction. To this end, he also studies the motivation to seek out other people and communicate our emotions. His approach combines behavioral, psychometric, psychophysiological, and neuroimaging methods.

 

Expert Contributors

eleanor Chestnut, PHD

Eleanor Chestnut completed her B.A. in Linguistics and Cognitive Science at Pomona College, and her Ph.D. in Psychology at Stanford University.  She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at New York University, where she is exploring the relations among language, conceptual development, and social stereotyping.  Her work focuses in particular on subtle aspects of language that might undermine efforts to promote gender equality.  She has published in several top-tier psychological journals, and her research has been cited by NPR.

 

sarah larkin birdsong, LMHC

Sarah Larkin Birdsong has worked as both a diversity & inclusion and learning & development consultant and coach in the tech space. Making the workplace validating by optimizing its members’ creative potential is her primary professional objective. She is also a therapist, writer, and public speaker on the subjects of leadership, communication, and workplace best-practices.
